Your mom was probably right. I didn't find out I had bp until I was in the Coast Guard. Now they're trying to kick me out....Go figure :-/

But a boring job is right. I'm pretty much a CG dispatcher. Someone calls mayday, I answer and send a boat or helo.

If someone yells up from the mine for a part, I call and get one here ASAP

Read your schedule Manic......have no idea how you can do 2 12 hr shifts on only 1.5 hrs sleep. I have to admit....I end up going a few days without sleep & only dozing at the computer, but I am NOT WORKING & when my body crashes, I can just lay down on my bed & sleep for 24 hours (& I'm NOT BP).....just hate the nightmares that hit at times & think I avoid sleep when that happens. But I couldn't drive that long without sleep without crashing off the road.

When I was in college, I worked the 12 hour night shift at a computer company doing data entry.......then I became a computer design engineer & worked many 70 hour weeks & longer hours than just those 12 hour night shifts. Would drive the hour drive home after work & the Ca Highway Patrol would constantly pull me over for weaving.....at least those little red lights usually woke me up for the rest of the drive home.

Most of the time we got paid for all those hours if the military was willing to add the extra time into the contract.....but being a "salaried professional" sometimes didn't have it's perks. The extra time pay was only at normal time rate.....but it was nice when it was there

I don't mind feeling manic, it's pretty welcome at the moment, but OMG the pressure/need to talk talk talk is ridiculous, and there is no one at my house to talk to , talk to the tv? the decorations? I just dunno, I am gonna go wacky here , I guess I could talk to the tv, i didn't try..

Plus I wasn't thinking and I took my night meds twice, opps I think it's ok tho

Anyone talk to their tv, how was this for you? seriously

eh, I'm used to it. Two more years and I can go back to civilian life

Or sooner if they decide to kick me out because of my bp.
