Went and got meds today. The card didnt work this time. It was gonna be almost $400!

But the pharmacist was a good man and cut me a break on his insurance plan. Only cost me $45 this time.

I sure hope everything goes well Friday when I meet with HR and they get my insurance set-up ASAP

Insomnia is back harassing me again on my second night without the mirtazapine, so I may be joining you night-shifters! Sounds like your pharmacist was very understanding, manicminer. As much as I complain about the NHS, I can't imagine how I'd manage without free healthcare.
Thanks for this!

Its tough. I was managing on $1800 a month with insurance. Now I make almost $4000 but without insurance and I can barely pay the bills. Mainly due to reckless spending since i was skipping meds so i didnt have to pay for them

I feel that I'm different than many of the people on here that can't sleep. I can sleep just fine usually. I can fall asleep anywhere ( on a sidewalk bench the other week) without the aid of any drug (including alcohol) I just never have the time to lay down

Haha you might be unique. I can't fall asleep anywhere, not a bench, not a tree , nor a bed. If I do get lucky ( sleep) it's usually on a couch. I have a brand-new matress set that is going to stay unused for a long time.

One of my favorite places to pass out is the woods when I'm hunting. If im on the ground and I'm tired, I'll just plop down, lean up against a tree or just sprawl out on the ground and pass out. Its nice to wake up and the whole forest is alive and active like you're not even there. Have to get up real slow just in case a big buck came in to investigate the sound of my snoring. Its fun to watch all the squirrels and chipmunks scurry awake when they realize that big lump making weird noises is actually a human looking to kill them.

I'm trying to get so much done tonight, I have so much stuff I have to sqeeze in in the next two days, I think I can't really afford the sleep right now, nor do I really want it. I could use a little extra Ummph tho, anyone, anyone? Got some extra Zippity Pow laying around??

~ Exactly what I would be afraid of, strange things crawling on me while I am asleep, animals or humans alike.

With all the experiences I've been through I'm not afraid of anything anyone. My buddy actually shot me over the weekend and I enjoyed the rush.

So here's the ((( Zippity Pow))) I felt as I watched all the leaves blow off the tree in front of me and took birdshot to my upper torso.

I'm know I'm supposed to ask if you're ok, but do I say sorry, or congrats!! Maybe you can get shot next week and I can stay in stock of zippity pow.

Thanks for that btw. You always sound like you have crazy fun on your days off, I'll have to live vicariously.

HAHAHA! No harm done. Enough limbs in the way and was wearing my late grandpa's hunting jacket, so he was watching over me.

HHAHAHAH!!!! I try to think of a safer way to get you your Zippity Pow for next week. I don't think I need shot again anytime soon

Glad it was just birdshot. I shot an old fridge with a 12 ga and I was in awe of the power.

Oh for sure. If was even on open ground instead of through the trees I probably wouldnt be typing right now. Just one of the many reasons I've accepted my life for what it is and just live for the day

Smart, good thinking. No I don't really want you to get shot again. Aw I am sure your grandpa was looking over you. And I am glad you were not hurt. I am actually terrified of guns.

things are starting to go wrong here, damage control cannot be implemented till stores open tomorrow, now I gotta re-work my carefully thought out time management scheme. :0

Canadians have fewer guns per capita than the US, right? If you never were taught about guns it is logical you would fear them. I've been shooting since I was 12.

Yes we have fewer guns. I have never handled a gun or been around them, so yup natural fear. I have always been an urban kid, so there was no hunting for me. In spite of that I have always wanted to live rural and learn how to really take care of myself.
