I am getting so much out of this book!
He challenges the current approach that instead of avoiding our BP symptoms we can grow and learn to the point that we see our condition as an advantage to our lives. What a great view. |

I have mixed feeling about Wotten's writings. I haven't read his book but I read his blog. Sometimes it feels like "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" kind of thing which I don't like.

I agree. We ARE our brains.

we are indeed, hence we can think and help ourselves and not to give in to our moods and other quirks.
I guess we all hate to hear we are responsible (after all Sartre said freedom is a burden), which is not something vogue and hip in this society. I am not talking about just BP people, but about people in general. This attitude gets under our skin and it consumes us. I have not read the book, but I love his blog. A lot of unconvential wisdom there and I am glad finally there is somebody to challenge the dogma.
