Get to see my pdoc again Monday!!
![]() If you read the posts leading up to my last appt., you can remember that I finally decided to be honest and up-front with my doc and tell him everything that had been going on. Previous appts were Q: How are you doing? A: Fine Q: Any moods swings A: No Q: Getting plenty of sleep A: Yep Q: Still doing good with laying off alcohol A: Yea, drinking even less Doc: Ok, sounds great. Hears your rx's. See you in 3 months. LIES!! ALL LIES!! HAHAHAHAHAH!! So my last appt. I made a list of everything that had gone on before and after our previous meeting. My little brother was so concerned and wanted to make sure I told the truth that he came along to the appt. This was the beginning of October. Went in and dropped the bomb on the pdoc. I've never seen a medical professional's eyes so wide in disbelief of some of the things I told him. Some of the things I had experienced he couldn't even find an explaination for. His reaction: "I thought we were doing so well and now its seems to be all falling apart" Thought in my head: "Buddy, it was never together to begin with" Then the real fun started. I got into some real heavy stuff and I saw my brother move out of the corner of my eye. I looked at him and he let out this horrific wail like nothing I have ever heard. For a split second I thought he was having a nervous breakdown. But when I saw his eyes roll back in his head and his elbows and knees suck up to his chest, I knew what had happened: Epileptic Seizure. Suddenly the focus went from me to him as the doc and I kept his airway clear and lowered him to the floor, with me wiping the blood from his mouth from where he bit his tongue. He recovered fairly quickly, just in time for the doc to wrap things up with me only half-way through my list. Doc's recommendations for me: 1.) Get a local doc (I travel 4 hours to see him since I used them through college) and if I cant get in within the month come back to him 2.) Cut alcohol completely out of my life. So by this post you can see that I followed up on step #1. By almost all other post you can tell I completely dismissed #2. Wish me luck!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yep and I updated it and made a new one. I'm ready to blow his mind again. I actually feel sorry for him. He thought he had it easy and that I would be a peice of cake. Turns out I just have a lot of will and determination and can fight off (so far) anything from the deepest darkest depression to full-blown mania.
Mind over matter and mind over mind...

Good luck! I hope that your pdoc (who hopefully by now will not be so shocked by what you tell him, as he is slightly more informed) will be able to help you to cross some items off of that list.

I can relate. I used to lie, get my meds and keep living as if nothing was wrong when really I was a mess. I can understand why you did that. Seriously though don't waste your money and time bs-ing them. You are doing the right thing. Good luck on Monday. Is your brother going with you this time?

That was the deciding factor. I graduated college got my own job and had to start paying for my appointments. Didnt realize they were $95 a visit. Lying then becomes late taking a $100 bill and flushing it down the toilet. unacceptable. I won't let him this time. I keep having a feeling that the things I was saying somehow triggered the seizure ( he hadn't had one in 1.5 year and was taking his meds), and I dont want that to happen again.

Will do. I'm working a 5th day next week, so I might be back on here the 9th, def. the 10th. Unless of course the pdoc would do something drastic

Don't have any idea how long you have been seeing your PDoc but would have thought you would let him in on all of this before now. Makes you wonder how many others are doing the same. I read a lot of the threads here before my 1st visit and asked a lot of questions. Everyone said that I would benefit more if I was open. I opened up about almost everything.
My sister has epilepsy so I know what it is like when she has a seizure. I can see where that would kind of throw your session off kilter. I hope everything goes well for you. And try not to blow his whole mind all at once. ![]() |

I've already taken 1800mg of ibuprofen tonight. I already took my meds today and if I take a risperdal (new stuff is much more powerful than the expired was) I'll fall asleep/ won't be able to operate equipment, which i might have to do.

Just a few more hours & you can get tobacco, maybe take risperdal.
Try & hold it together (bit your tongue if necessary) then you're off for a few days. Run up and down the isles? Trying to help, seem so frustrated. ![]() |

Forgot about the me, myself, and I trio. Well at least you have company on those long nights. I would imagine you will be ready to crash after this shift.

Yea Gonna go get breakfast with the bosses (they are coming in later to do monthly paperwork) go home, slam some meds, hop in the shower, crash til around 1. Then got a b-day party at the roller rink! Roomates' live-in girlfriends' daughter is turning 6. ahahahah
Leaving right from there to go to State College (3.5 hour drive) to surprise my new lady friend for her b-day and see the pdoc.
