I struggle to keep a straight head. I break down every day, at the same time as well, and I want to quit my course, I can't stop crying, I get in a proper state, and then I'm fine for a while, even hopeful about it all, then I despair again, before I go to bed and get little sleep, and the next day the same thing all over again. I feel so disorientated, I don't know if it's purely stress, or if I really want to quit my course, or what's going on....Feather in the wind :'( I'm so exhausted and yet I must keep going....Not sure if anyone can do or say anything, I just wanted to share..

tc all

Breaking down at the same time each day might be due to meds wearing off. Just a thought.

Hope you feel better soon...

Hmm...There is logic in that. But I am on controlled-released or whatever it's called.
By the way. I should also say that my building flooded yesterday and we've been put up in hotels indefinitely. This entire month is crazy!

Thank you Ani

Don't make big decisions when in a high or low mood... (that's one of my rules!!!)
Can you take some time to rest and relax even just one night to get a better grasp on things.

Seems your under tons of extra stress ( hotel) right now .. Lack of sleep is one of the worst offenders to anyone with bipolar ... just TRY and relax and rest your body and mind ...

Someone here on PC suggested imagining in your mind a "plain white room" I tried it and I could tell within a few minutes that it was helping to calm me down and I was able to find a little focus on my emotions .

Wish I could remember who suggested it so I could Thank them over and over

Try and be kind to yourself ... easier said than done ,,Just Breathe

((( Hugs ))))
Thanks for this!

Even controlled release or extended release meds do wear off at some point. I can always tell when my ADHD meds are worn out...
Thanks for this!

The white room helps a little bit!! Or any kind of specific but calming mental picture as representing my mind...Like a green field and clear blue sky...

The hotel situation is exhausting. We have to check out every day and be told in the evening we need to go to a different one. I am still not sleeping. I am getting coffee-like-wired and I also have only until Sunday to sort out essay preparation. As well as washing all my clothes and stuff when I do move back into the flat. I think I am actually panicked but somehow gone into a laughing-manically at the madness of it all mode.
I saw the GP and FINALLY they are going to refer me to the mental health centre here. (I moved here in September.) Maybe I need more drugs!

Half an hour till breakfast............

Yes, the white room with doors on either side. You're supposed to imagine your thoughts coming in, acknowledging them and then letting them leave through the other door. When i tried it the word "thoughts" came through in green letters. Then left. haha

You're welcome morethingswrong!

For some reason I love my green field too much to go back into the room. BUT! Check this out. Thoughts appear. Then the wind blows and they're blown away!! I can see them as if written with bits of grass in the air and then they're gone

OOOOOOO I like that!!! But the principle is the same! I might have to try that one, sounds uplifting. I'll save the room for mania.

I'm having a lot of the same problem and I do think it's because I was put on regular Wellbutrin. I was on the slow release stuff before and I think I need to be back on it. I'm giving this until my appointment on January 3rd. Hang in there--I know it's tough but this too shall pass. We're here for you!
