Hi, I got a med change again, I get one every month. Now I'm on Abilify, I took my first dose last night, got a huge headache, although I also stopped Zyprexa. Do you think quitting Zyprexa is the culprit? I feel like I have a hangover.

It could be. I don't remember having headaches on Abilify, just akathisia at higher doses.

I've been on Abilify for about 5 years now and have had no major side effects. I take it in conjunction with Lamotrigine and the combination has stabilized my moods and moderated my depression (I also take Pamelor). Right now, in addition to my meds, I am working with a LCSW in cognitive behavior therapy and this has enabled me to begin to heal scars left from my childhood that have caused problems. With the combination of meds and therapy, I feel better than I have in years, knock on wood.

I am on cymbalta and take abilify to help it. It has been a blessing since day one. I do not remember having any headaches from. It could be the mix of your medications.

Call the Pharmacy and ask if this is a side effect. They always know these answers.
take care.....

I didn't get headaches from Abilify but then I again I stopped after a few days. It started to make me manic. All those weird kinds of thoughts.
