Lets have our own Christmas Party! I have come up with some rules of attendance. Please add to the list!

Wear your medication list next to your name sticker. Common meds are always a great conversation starter!

Feel free to bring your therapist maybe someone else will want to see them.

Please do not spike the punch. A bunch of us drunk together could lead to mayhem.

No annoying or demanding in-laws are allowed to attend as well as "non understanding" spouses.

Cell phones are shut off and left at the door so no one can cause you problems or distress.

You will be removed from the party if you utter the words "Just get over it"

Let's see. Also, play a game with questions such as "What was the wildest thing you ever did while manic?"

One of the icebreaker activities will be to line ourselves up in order of dx date, without talking. We'll also have contests to see who can identify the most different meds by sight, and who can correctly pair up the most generics with brand-name meds.

The party favors will include extra-large pill reminder boxes in cool neon colors, custom-made mood chart notepads in your choice of 3 handy formats, and reusable tote bags with the PC logo, available in 5 sizes depending on how much "baggage" you bring along.

How about hugs and lullaby's sung? That's what I'd want!

Maybe find someone whos been off their meds and Really believes their Santa.

My friend wants to get a hotel room and then have me stop all my meds and see what happens. yeah what a party!

We could invite our pdoc and make them do a shot for every time they have changed our meds. Then when they passed out we could put lipstick all over their face, and shave their heads. Childish yes, inappropriate bipolar, double yes.

How about a room where you can go in and scream out your frustration and then after get a big hug?

Also how about a pacing race. LOL Whoever makes 10 laps the fastest wins!

Heheh, you guys! Read some out to BF, they are so funny. Karaoke or no (and believe me, I'd be singing along regardless!), I could bring my Manic Mix! (Made a list of selections for either extreme, just never actually committed them to cd! But I could! I could! )

How about a white elephant gift exchange where you wrap up something you've made in the hospital and give it to someone else?

We could make "get well soon" cards for everyone who couldn't attend the party because they are too depressed.

We could nostalgically swap stories about how the holidays were in the "good old days" before our bp got really serious.

We could have contests to see who could make the most random connects to a given topic in the shortest amount of time (hypo/manic racing thoughts would be a serious advantage here).
