I saw my dr for something unrelated today. She found that my thyroid is enlarged. However my total cholesterol is down a lot since I started judo/Zyprexa. I've gained 7 pounds since September- not bad considering.

Lithium suppressed my sons thyroid, it got enlarged & he had to start levoxyl.

You'll probably need to keep a check on your Thyroid more often ... Its hell that the meds we need to be more stable tend to pile on the lbs.. Bummer

I'm on levoxyl already! I've been on it since I started lithium a few years ago, and they do regular checks. Just nobody looked at least week's results until today. Glad I went in today. She's going to up the dose of levoxyl on Monday.
I heard people usually gain 10 pounds the first month and more after on zyprexa so I'm happy with only 7 since september. Must be all the judo.

Yay for JUDO ... I wish my body could handle that or any exercise besides walking. I use to be a "gymrat" 5-6 days a week ,, that was Pre Fibromyalgia days.
