So I was feeling nice when I joined (about a week ago) then normal and now I feel like crap. I am so tired today literally sitting with my eyes closed while bebe is playing - idoors don't worry! And I feel like a failure all over again. Are meds not supposed to make u feel normal all the time??

Hi there,I know how you feel,I'm like this all the time the ups and downs.
The meds especially trying new ones can leave you feeling so drained and tired,I never feel wide awake if I'm honest I'm always tired. Being a parent myself there have been a few times where I've put a dvd on and spread toys out on the floor to keep the kids amused and yes they were safe as there's nothing to harm them but I felt guilty.
I felt they were missing out because of my mental and physical health, then I spoke to my therapist who told me that I should never feel guilty or a failure as its not my fault also everyone has off days.
Your not a failure I can tell by your post your a good mum otherwise you wouldn't be worrying.
Am always around if you want to PM me
Take care
Jk

I'm sorry you feel crappy. And no, meds don't magically make you normal, I don't even think the help your brain chemistry, they just help numb your reactions to bp... That's how I found them to be anyway, just my experience. My cycles didn't get any better, my responses to them were just watered down.
.
Hope you feel better soon, maybe take bebe for a nice walk? It's sunny in CT today.

Thank you so much, baby actually had her nap and toddler watched Nanny McPhee so I plopped my pillows on the living room carpet and closed my eyes for a while. Still tired but not that irritated.

Ahh, the joys of the electronic babysitter! What on earth would we do without TVs and Computers to occupy the kids when we need some time for ourselves?

Glad to hear you got a nap of your own!
