I have some scoiliosis myself and some arthiritis in my knee--I am planning to hang out in the city pool this year; not much of a swimmer, but just sitting on the steps in the water will help. I did that alot when I was pregnant with my youngest. My son and I had a membership at the YMCA at the time and when he was taking his swim lesson, I would just hang out in the other pool and it made a big difference.

If you take Lithium, NSAIDs may not be an option, quite unfortunately.

Could the pain be sciatica? The pain that travels through your back down into your leg? My dad has that. Hope you are able to get some help with this soon!

It turned out to be a pinched nerve caused by some weird muscle spasms...
