Hello everyone,

My meds that my MD doctor prescribed aren't really working and I can't afford full coverage sessions from a pysc because my insurance doesn't cover anything up to my deductable of $2,500. I don't have $2,500 to spend and am coming to my wit's end for solutions. I'm based out of Toledo ohio, and a local company called Central Access has turned me down for discounted sessions bc I make too much, but yet, I can't afford it on my own.

question is: I am wondering if ANYONE has any suggestions on how to get discounted therapy from a psychiatrist? Any programs out there that would help with this? Is there ANYTHING I can do???

I don't have any advice to you but I wanted to let you know I am in the same boat. I make too much for assistance, I make too little to do it on my own. I really need some help but can't get it.

Good luck to you.

Its just sad that the health system works this wy and makes it harder for people to get the help that we need. Mental illness are just as bad as physical ones or worse in some cases. Just getting frustrated with not being to find any help

In my area, a widespread option are sessions with supervised interns in psychology, marriage and family therapy, and psychiatric social work. They run about $25 a session.
