Lamictal as my mood stabilizer. Works wonderfully, only side effect for me can be fatigue, but fairly mild. I also take Adderall, mostly for ADHD, but also as a stimulant to treat residual depression (or maybe just the relative lack of motivation that can result from stabilizing the highs). It's the perfect combo for me, but since stimulants can increase cycling they're generally only used in treatment-resistant depression. It really doesn't make me cycle, though. Jess |

While it is helpful to know what medications are out there, not every medication works the same on everyone. I'm on lamictal, lithium and seroquel. The combination of these three medications works for me but it took a good 7 months of tweaking to find the right combination. I would recommend keeping a mood chart. Ask your doctor for one. If you can have a graph in front of you showing how you are reacting to the changes in medications and doses, it will help you see what's working and what's not. If your doctor is a good one, you'll see eye-to-eye with him or her and as you may need to visit the doctor every few weeks, you'll feel better and better every time you go. I hope you feel better soon.
