I think it's coming back..I think it's coming back. I am starting to feel like I used to. I just stopped my meds because I was shaking so bad on them. I'm not sure if it's a smart move or not. I keep going into major depressive states. This is now the 3rd day that I've felt like this. I'm starting to get a little worried. I don't know what to do about it. I really don't want to be on my meds, but I'm scared of relapsing.

Not sure what meds you were taking, but you could be going thru withdrawals from it. I did that once and it lasted about the same amount of time. My T was amazed that I didn't get sicker than what I did, plus all my symptoms came rushing back.

I'm on Geodon, Lexapro and Abilify. What about you?

Hey there....

I'm on Depakote ER (500mg), Seroquel (100mg), and Xanax 1MG (PRN/Max 5 day); I've been on Halidol before and stopping it abruptly - or ANY psych. meds - can and will most likely lead to withdrawl symptoms.

I made that critical mistake not once, not twice, but soooo many times that I stopped counting. I've been 'faithful' since I started my new regimen above. Nonetheless, and I'm not preaching here, you really should have consulted either your Pdoc, Therapist, or even your PCP before you did this... Now you may have to go through what I call "damage control", i.e. getting quickly 'brought down' and put at ease - probably through a Benzo of some sort. In my opinion, I would NOT do anything until you consult a physician as we all react and respond to meds differently.....

If you do have something RX'd to calm you down somewhat, and to take the 'jonesing' feeling away, I personally would take one of those IMHO. I'm not a doctor, but I sure wouldn't be sitting there w/the jitters due to possible withdrawls until I was able to get a hold of a physician.

Do that today and keep us informed. We're here for you... ~N

Hang in there sniffles! I have to agree with Niko's advice. I too have stopped my meds and it was horrible. Alot of times it takes weening off of them. Stoping abruptly can make you feel pretty bad. I agree, talk too your pdoc. And like Niko said, keep us posted.

Yes keep us posted!! Remember hon, problems CAN be fixed. You may not have to actually go in too the doc, maybe you can just talk to them or their nurse over the phone.

Just don't harm your body by quitting abruptly. Gently wean yourself off of them with your doc's help.

Been there and done that a lot. Please go see your doc and get back on meds. Don't look at yourself as being "sick", I do that to myself all the time and it gets me into really bad negative talk. Say, "I'm doing this for me and those that I love, this is what I need to be the person that I want to be and so be it". If your future husband is anything like mine, he will be supportive of you and your decisions. Good luck, you are in my prayers.
