I'm kinda getting it!

I could go through today living in my fantasy world...
Or I could focus and stay in the moment

I could take shortcuts and do poor work, blaming it on my anxiety...
Or I could take responsibility and just get it done

I could feel out of place and think that everyone else is better than me...
Or I could try to be better

I could blame my social ackwardness on my bipolar disorder...
Or I could sincerely try today

I could keep setting myself apart from the crowd and tell myself "I'm not like them"...
Or I could just let it go

I can see the person that I want to be. It opened my eyes on the discussion about god... reading the responses of everyone on it and reading my own. Made me realize that I will never be who I want without owning up to all my crap . I guess it doesn't really matter who has what. There is no social status based on what is wrong with a person. I have to not forget that!
Thanks for this!

you've gotit LD Accountability opens doorways! You know what my main life lesson is to my 8y.o? I tell her, 'you have to learn to own your s.h.i.t'. It's a valuable lesson bcoz it unclutters SO much in your adult life. Not easy to put to practice, mahn, sometimes my s.h.i.t. is serious, impacts others, has major repercussions, but it's MINE, and I must take charge of it in order to grow, progress, and have a clearer mental/emotional plate. I mean c'mon, our plates fill up so easily WITHOUT our help, I think its our duty to OURSELVES to keep it as clear as possible

sorry for rambling, I just LOVE it when people 'get this' mentality

Awesome thread Dan!!! You could and can do it. It's crazy how much our perspective on things can make such a huge difference!

Social status.... Is crap!!! Who cares who has what, I have no idea what the fellow next to me has got and him no idea of me. We all have "stuff". All the matters is what we do with that stuff and the person who it will affect most is you. Don't forget you are the most important person in your life. Always have been, and you always will be.

I used to get really down about my past, and people who have hurt me, abused me ect. But I'm the one in charge now, I'm an adult now, and from that point on I am responsible for what I do with it. Owning your stuff is great, being responsible for it , because it's then that you can do something about it. I agree with everything you said above.

Good luck Dan, keep up with this perspective and you will do great!

Awesome Dan, I have to think of this myself. No one knows only you do and if you just take responsibility then things can get better. Good job and great post I think this is a great step.
