Hi guys (ok, I guess gals for this one)
I have recently been diagnosed with bp2 which was a surprise bc my troubling symptoms are psychotic. Anyway, he asked me to chart my moods and now I see that, yes, the mania is during ovulation and despair during PMS.

I knew I had horrible PMS and have been on Prozac for a year. Problem is, it is making the mania worse.

Anyone else tied to their cycles like to a bucking bronco?

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

I'm 46 and have not been on the pill since I was about 22.

I've always had incredibly difficult periods and major PMS.

I have leftover hydrocodone from an injury a couple of years ago, and I have saved it for use on the one or two days each month that are unbearably painful.

As for despair and PMS, that time of the month and the days before are exactly that for me. Despair. That is the perfect word to describe it.
