I'm doing better today, thank you all. Yesterday I had a bad migraine all day. My special needs son who is 21 came in the bedroom last night and said "are we going to have dinner"? I felt bad....
Had to tell him to fix a frozen dinner. He brought me the frozen dinner he picked out & I helped him figure out how long to cook it in microwave. I am trying to look on the bright side of all this. Like I said b4 if his appendix didn't rupture we would have never known till it's too late. I finally did some research on comp this morning. Level 2 isn't so horrible. Much better than 3 or 4. Another positive thing......we got an appointment with Oncologist this Friday. We were told it might take a few months, but surgeon called him personally to get him in. I'm still going from highs to lows in seconds. I'm forcing myself to take a shower in a few. Planning on taking my son to a family friends house today. Just for a little while to get him out of the house and some sort of normalcy. He's taking the puppy for a visit w/their little dog. I've told my son some what of what is going on. Bc he is Mimd (mildly mentally disabled), adhd, emotional disorders, anxiety and ocd I wanted to be careful how to tell him. Told him in a very upbeat way so he didn't start freaking out. My hubby isn't his biological father. But he thinks of him as his real father. He's been there for him since he was 3 1/2. So things are better here, hope I keep feeling this way. We are supposed to go on vacation in 2 weeks. Surgeon says he should be able to go but it's up to the Oncologist. I appreciate all of you guys being here for me. So glad I found this group, you guys are the best! ![]()

Well, that sounds as if you are already much, much stronger, Zoesmom.
After all this is over, please investigate the migraines. There is something that can be done to help you with those, I feel sure. (Allergy testing might help, for one thing.) |

I had some migraines as a teen. Then in my early 20's had a bad car accident and it damaged the nerves on the left side of my neck. I take preventatives now prescribed by my Neurologist too. They help bc I now only get them a couple times a week.
Allergy testing? I think I read that in another post.

You might have read that from my posts. I am so allergic myself and know that taking my shots makes my life manageable. Glad to know that you have gotten assistance for yours. Take care of yourself, and know that things will work well; time will help so much. Genetic |

Oh, dear my heart cries for you! You need to take your meds, though,if you're gonna hang in there. I wish I could do more, but I will pray to God and ask Him to help your whole family. And then we gotta take it day by day. Please keep us updated. Love, Owl
