Last week I was on top of the world and I have been slowly coming down and and now heading to the depression end of the nasty disorder. I am getting increasingly down and cranky and I HATE this! I hate being mean to my kids- they deserve a nicer momma. I'm SURE I am BP now

This mornings events haven't helped any. Last August, I was getting ready to have a garage sale and I backed my Expedition into my husbands 150 because it was in the drive because there was no room in the garage- well, i'm getting ready for a garage sale again, his truck is parked outside in the drive again only this time, I didn't hit it- I hit the freaking telephone pole in the alley instead! Not a good start to my day. I'm so mad at myself! I already took it down for an estimate- it's nearly $1,900 - we have a $500 deductable so it will be worth turning it in to the insurance I think.

DO you think that my lack of mental clarity has to do with the Seroquel that I take to help me sleep? It seems that I am foggy most of the days after I take one. I actually only take 1/2 of one but it still seems to be too much for me to handle the next day. I'm SURE I am BP now

Anyone wanna give me $500? I'm SURE I am BP now

Boy,

I HATE when that happens!

I can't speak to the Seroquel, but you could just be like me--a lousy driver with rotten luck! *kidding* For real, over a 17 year marriage, I managed to back into vehicles belonging to ALL of my inlaws! (They never did get the hint). Actually, they kept parking in the spot we would back into to get out of our drive...they finally figured out that they shouldn't pull quite so far down the drive!

On the BP thing...maybe you should talk to your pdoc about a real mood stabilizer. Seroquel can bring you back down when you're up, but it can't regulate your moods long term like lithium, Depakote or Lamictal.

Hope things get better for ya!

Sleep meds sure do give an element of grogginess, imo. You have to learn how long the med keeps you foggy the next day, and work around that. If it's too long a time, ask the doc to cut the dose some and see if that works and helps. Many things can cause lack of focus, stress and depression are just two of them. TC!
