Thanks for the ideas, tips, and also the relating posts, its appreciated. Hammy, I haven't been able to stand for long periods of time for a number of years now, idk why but anything longer than a half an hour and my body goes crazy, feels like my stomach wants to drop out. once I as forced to stand for part of my shift, i couldnt walk from the swelling in my lower back. I can hike up and down a mountain just fine, so its weird what happens to me when Im standing. Can you imagine how i loath queues?

Something I didn't think of: A bath with Epson Salts.

Another thing: Having comfortable shoes with arch support.

When you stand, try and move your legs. Venous stasis explains the cramping feeling you get when you haven't moved. If you stand straight for too long without moving your legs you can pass out.

Understood. Then try to be lying down when you use the phone to connect to PC from home - this will eliminate a good amount of sitting. I simply use carpeting, but when I get a couch, I might do it on a couch. I will see what is more comfortable.

I always move my legs when I stand. I sometimes shift my weight from one leg to the other and then back. Maybe that is why I can stand for prolonged periods of time.

No amount of shifting around helps me. So standing is a no-no. I do however lie down when Im home and on my phone tho. Epson salts bath? Ima try that.
