ok this is my second post or question
I was recently diagnosed with bipolar II
I was titrated up on triliptal until i reach 1500
and i was on celexa 40mg
and serequel 150
and i had clonapin for anxiety
ambien for sleep

my sodium dropped to 126 so she removed celexa, i was currently on 20 because she had reduced it...but i stopped cold turkey
and i ran out of ambien and clonapin but since my doc is an addictions specialist she wont give me either drug

i saw her wed and these are the changes she made
after i told her i had gained 17 pounds over 3 months she is tapering me off of serequel so now i am down to 100 mg
she added abilify 2mg
and left triliptal as is..my sodium is up to 132
i am not sleeping and i am irritable and heck...

anyone out there help???? will the agitation reduce???? will i ever sleep again??? i am yelling at my kids and in tears
she put me on hydroxizine for anxiety (crap)
and also rozerem for sleep(crap)
do i need to find a new doc or can i do this without ambien and clonapin
Hugs from:

I was offered Trileptal as an alternative to Geodon, because I have anorgasmia due to (otherwise wonderful) Geodon. I have started researching it and found out that there is not much proof behind its efficacy. I might still try it, but as a last resort. I would start with more conventional, tried-and-true, treatments, if I were you.

why did she cut off your clonopins and ambiens? i take both of those... i'm allowed 2 1mg tabs/day (i'm always asking for more, no-go)... and i don't take ambien every night - i can make 1 bottle last 6 months.

i'd tell her you need to add back in the clonopin & ambien, the other new meds are not working, assure her you will not abuse them, remind her you have proof of them helping because they helped in the past. Tell her you must sleep regularly or you can't function.

then if she won't let you be a participant in your treatment, i'd find a new pdoc. that's me... sorry you're going through this

She took you off Klonopin cold turkey!? Wow, no wonder you're agitated....you're lucky you didn't have a seizure, even with the Trileptal. No decent doctor takes a person off benzodiazepines without weaning them down first. I'd look into changing providers if I were you.
