When I need one. Very rarely on the weekends. Some days I don't smoke.
Otherwise an average of approx 2 per day. I only started up again recently

I so wish i could do that!!!! I would give almost anything to be able to comfortably have only two a day!! I'm a smoker who can go through his first pack in a day at around noon and polish off the second pack by the end of the night.

First off, major props to you for doing it! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to quit, usually by the third day my gf is asking if she can go buy me a pack My big problem is it is one of my biggest triggers for mania. By day three I get so irritable that I don't even like myself. Again, I think it's great that you're doing it, I wish I had the willpower.

Thanks Dan, yep... always getting better... aiming for it at least

Having a mind block about Monday... have all this **** to do before 11am and I'm at that wall... instead of just doing it, I've got arguments and confusion in my head. I hate this mental fog. I want to go back to bed waaahh but nope, I can do this! I can do this! Ok, I'm off to work.

Hope you have a good day

You can do it Blue. I tell myself that every morning, and even on days that I only perform half as well as I want to, I still get it done! So will you!
Hugs from:

Thanks for this!

Good job starting the quit. Are you trying to tough it on your own, or are you using a nicotine replacement agent? I used the losenges- only thing that ever really worked for me. I also nibbled on cinnamon sticks throughout the day- natural craving suppressant.

It is much harder in the beginning, but gets easier and easier. I will be celebrating my year on Oct. 11th! I would be lying if I said there were not still moments I really want one, or times that it still gets hard... but it is SO worth it. Quitnet is an invaluable resources for info and support.

And.... here are the stats from my quit ticker:

My Stats:
Your Quit Date is: 10/11/2011 1:00:00 AM

Time Smoke-Free: 342 days, 15 hours, 7 minutes and 43 seconds

Cigarettes NOT smoked: 10279

Lifetime Saved: 2 months, 18 days, 12 hours

Money Saved: $3,078.00

Try the nicotine patches. For me, they worked like a charm.

Good job, lands! I quit almost 20 yrs. ago and haven't had one since. I decided I needed to get my body in the right shape for children, and now four children later, if they haven't driven me back to smoking, nothing will! (jk)
