I have not told my employer that I am bipolar, and I really don't want to.

That definately is a personal choice. I had to tell mine, I was hospitalized and before that had a break down at work so she knew what was going on anyways. As far as the other employer. I just called him and explained to him what had been going on and he said that made a lot of sence as to why I acted the way I did while I was employed there and filled my paper work out accordingly. I just have no shame for my disease its something we have no control over and it actually helps them understand why we are the way we are. Instead of thinking we are just not doing our job there is actually an explanation as to why its difficult for us at times and completely easy at others.
