My son Clint has decided that he is going for the ECT. Sorry not happy about it but as he feels it is the only thing else he can do i have to respect that, don't like it tho feelin a liitle low myself but coping as i have no choice just wanted to let everyone know what is on his mind at this point. If it means the difference of having him in this life or the life after i prefer the life we have now with him in it. So please think all positive thoughts for him and thank you for all your support

I wish him the best of luck with this. I have heard very good things about it. There have been many people have very good turn out with ECT. Please keep us posted.

I just bumped up a thread about ECT where I wrote a fairly detailed post about my experiences with ECT. Wasn't sure you saw it or not.

Hi Clint's Mom, thinking of you and Clint and your family. I would be so scared too, but this could help him. It really seems to help a lot of people. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Will do. Rest assured you're both in my thoughts. Anything new and unfamiliar is kind of scary, but there's only one way to find out and with the results being potentially very positive, it's worth it. IMO anyway.
(Sorry, IMO -- in my opinion... you probably already know that one, but easier to clarify now on the slight chance that you don't, as I know you are very busy.) |

Clint is awesome! I know he will be fine. this is something he chose, and he knows himself, so I know he will be good. In fact, it will be a lot of fun on here when he gets back on cuz I know he will be feeling better and he likes to make rhymes and have fun with words, and he will probably light up these boards! I'm looking forward to it! He will be fine!

Just tell him to summon all his patience, as ECT does not work right after the first procedure - it takes time.
