Is it metabolism? My thyroid always comes back great along with other blood work. Good eating. Exercise. Still gain. How does this happen to some of us?

AD's usually cause me to lose weight -surpressed appetite -higher energy. It's AP's and possibly Lithium that cause me to gain.
What AD are you on?

Don't hold me to this, but apparently serotonin activates the signal for the brain to begin storing fat? I know that serotonin has a lot to do with appetite and I guess it might have something to do with how our body responds to the food we put into ourselves.

Twiddle I'm in Wellbutrin and Lamictal. Since on Lamictal I'm feeling well but weight change has me so concerned. This is the only med concoction that's worked pretty well for me. No real side effects accept the weight.

Passion, you are seriously unlucky. Seriously! Take people like me who have gained weight on Depakote and Zyprexa. Well, those are the worst repeat offenders that do that to scores of people. Your drugs are supposed to be innocuous - Lamictal is usually completely weight-neutral and WB makes many people LOSE weight, just not YOU!

Hamster you're so right. I'm always the small percentage for everything. Here's a story. I had breast implants at one time. One of my implants literally broke out of my skin. Dr said I'm one of the 2% that happens to. Yay me. Had them removed and not looking back on them. Feel this way about the meds. Time to try something better for me. But thanks for always your great insight. Always appreciate it
