Thus far I've experienced no auditory or visual hallucinations. I'm curious and send this out to those that have.

Did you always have them or did the eventually occur after time?

Makes me nervous just thinking about it.

I had a few very vivid ones in 2007 but that was it. I do not have them anymore.

I have both, pretty much 24/7 . I am "use" to them to a degree i suppose. I only take medication for mine if I start questioning if they are real or not.

If you have never had them there is a good chance you may never have them. Hallucinations are not a mandatory symptom.

Does that help ?

I only recently started having them, and it's not all the time, only when I'm really stressed.

Thanks for the input. When I was much, MUCH younger I was known to trip every now and then. I think if I do have one I'll be able to tell that it isn't really "real".

Just curious as I know it is something that occurs to some with BP.

reality is not 'exactly' what it....appears to be...

and yet it is 'exactly' what it tries to be and ....well

there are mistakes!...it's like a painting a wonderful painting on a freaky wall...

....to the ordinary eye it looks complete...

but there are GAPS.

even the picture knows this and when an observer is so tuned in to see just the gaps?....the entire picture dissolves into the 'suddenly holes'...

it's wise to accept that no painting of anything is 2 dimensional...

it's a mystical reflective abyss...

and despite mostly monsters want to feature they are just in the way of the true beauty within

A bit of Risperdal you are taking should serve to deter hallucinations anyway. But it seems that you are just naturally NOT prone to them.

I started having hallucinations both visual and audio perhaps some paranoia at 11 years old. It's something that seems pretty much to have always been with me. Tho sometimes it can still send me into a tail spin. I am usually pretty good about being able to hold onto reality enough and slowly figure out what is real in the material world and what is coming from me.

Even when I "know" that it is not real, it's still hard at times to stay on the real side, I do get delusional a bit in those times which really complicates the staying in reality bit.

But like Christina said she got used to it, I got used to it, some are really not that bothersome, sometimes some of it is, content depending. I have not had a hallucination or any psychosis in just over a year. I cannot say I miss it tho.
