I am going through a bit of mania right now, coupled with a child-like excitement about Christmas. As a result, I am yakking a lot. I discovered an advantage to that, though, this morning: A telemarketer actually hung up on ME!!
Thanks for this!

You definitely get stuff done while manic. The best time to clean the house is when you're manic, because you don't just get the room done, you get all the rooms done plus all the things you don't normally do like the blinds and the corners and the awkward spaces.

I've been saying, Dr. Skipper, that I need a touch of mania to get my house cleaned. I'm one of those folks who, sometimes when I'm manic, start cleaning and just can't stop! Definitely an advantage, too!

not only the house, but you can get other stuff done too

i heard somewhere (i can't remember where exactly) but when you're mannic, make the most of it... because once it's gone, it's gone- and you feel all sluggish again

i love being mannic for exact reason- because i can get things done, and i actually feel a little normal

Same things like a list in my head but while manic i get to do extra stuff like base boards and polishing kitchen cabinets ..going through unopened boxes and unpacking from when i moved in back in april lol good times.

I don't understand the mania that you are getting. Mine starts off as productive, but then it turns into frustration and then anger. I feel like I have no control over my mind and body and it gets to be scary. that is my hypomania.

Yes, mania can lead to anger, etc. It isn't always something to get happy about......I even eventually get scared when I start things and can't stop. But it can come in a bit handy sometimes, so I try to look on the bright side. Sometimes people even seem to enjoy my silliness, at least in moderation!

Oh wow liviacat, I want to be there!

Good job with the telemarketers Payne!! One time, I left the guy on the phone next to my tv turned it up loud, kept telling him to continue holding. Horrible of me, poor guy, he did finally hang up.
