I did it, for past month or two I keep having strong urges, dreams and thoughts of self injuries. I used to cut myself, and burn myself, starting at age 16 to age 22 or 23. I haven't cut myself for almost 3 years, and i relasped, I cut myself last night, it felt so good and freeing. I loved seeing the blood stream out of the cut. Now I have to wear long sleeve shirts and hope nobody notice. I do feel weird because I feel that I'm too old to be cutting, but I don't care, I did it and it felt good. Think I will do it again tonight.

i don't think you can get to old to cut.... i don't believe it's an age thing, more a need... if you feel like you have to do it, then you have to do it- reguardless of age

their are plenty of alternatives.. holding a block of ice, snapping a rubber band on your wrist, drawing your feelings... be careful won't you

I'm 46 and Cut. I use to cut daily I no longer do daily but still too much.. For some reason cutting is thought to be a teenage "thing"??? Makes no sense ... Of course you know cutting isn't a solution altho you do feel better in that moment, its an addiction. Are you currently seeing a Therapist? If so talk to them and learn other ways to cope besides cutting. Feelings of shame or guilt are common after the fact.

Don't beat yourself up, that's useless. Do keep your cuts clean and work on things that will allow you to stop/decrease cutting.

Please be safe if you do cut.. It's easy to cut too deep or the wrong area and something happening far worse.
