I have been having gallbladder attacks all week and I thought it was just extreme mid back pain. I should know I had this before. Bit the front pain was not first this time. I'm having night sweats, really bad nausea, right shoulder blade pain and feel like someone beat me with a 2 by 4 in the center of my back.. Well little to the right.

I went for a massage thought it would help my back. Made it so much worse. I am supposed to be at work in the morning. Its 1 am. I can't sleep, cant relieve the pain. Feel like I am gonna throw up and am just sitting here crying. Yes stupid. It's been days well started last week. Can never tell what is wrong so many health problems..its stupid.

I am scared to get it taken out. I was told months ago that I should get it taken out. Depressing this stuff is, no matter how i try to spin it at the moment.

Does it sound like gallbladder. I have about 10% faith left in doctors atm. I just want the pain to stop. Its bad.. You guys know I don't take meds for anything. I have been taking flu medicine cough medicine, advil .. Nothing works at all.

I usually try my best to not get frustrated or overwhelmed... but I am so overwhelmed, This, the lupusy problems, my job ( which feels like it's killing me), my house, it's too much for me right now I am so so tired.

Anika, please go get this checked out. Work can do without you today.
I had mine out, wasn't bad at all. They go thru the naval.
Here it's a 23hr stay then you get discharged.
If it's infected things can get serious fast, so please go to ER.
We want you to feel better & know you're safe, not in pain.
If you feel like it keep us posted.
Sending many healing thoughts your way.
Hugs from:
Anika.

too much to do yep. The only wisdom that I truly know is that it won't always be this way.... but that is based on just getting the ball rolling now. It rolls really slow, but when it is done rolling then you will have peace again. If you wait on any of this to get done later, then later you will have to wait for your peace to return. You are already overwhelmed... make a list and check it twice, really, and get the ball rolling.

you'll come out of this okay, I know you will. I like to think of times like this like an old country song said, "when your going through hell, keep on going, and you might get out before the devil even knows your there".
Thanks for this!

Oh Anika I am worried for you, please get it checked out asap. I would be pretty terrified of surgery, but we are getting older and going to have to do these sort of things... I'm older, you're too young for all this stuff. Please try not to stress about work, money might be a worry, but your body doesn't need any more stress right now. Just focus on getting well. Sending what small amount of Reiki healing that I know to you in the North.
Thanks for this!

I had my gall bladder taken out for stones a few months ago. The surgery was incredibly easy -- got out of the hospital the same day. There was a few days afterwards I had to take a pain killer, but after that no problem.

My pain before hand though was in the front, not the back, though? But a doctor would know more about that.

Anika, if it's your gallbladder having issues you really need to get it out. It can make you toxic. That's what happened to me.

For me I had gallstones, so I don't know if you have that. But for me the pain was this crushing pain all through my chest and back. It felt like my entire rib cage was crushing me. I couldn't breathe when it was happening. Nothing would stop the pain. It is a toss up between that and the pancreatitus of which was the most painful thing I ever experienced. And I had a 9 lbs baby natural without meds! So I have a high pain tolerance.

It made me feel like I was having a heart attack. If you're having the pain and nausea you need to get in to have it out ASAP. I went tot he ER by ambulance. It was terrifying. And I was gray! Like zombie gray. It was bad enough that it could have killed me. That's why I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, instead of just in and out as it is for some people. (Well, in and out like 1-2 days vs. 14 days....)

The surgery for the removal isn't bad. I had a great surgeon. I now have 4 little holes poked in me, and sometimes looking at the scars makes me sad. But, I could be dead. So, I'll take the 4 little holes, I guess.

Ok I called in sick.

The pain has backed off but still feel not good. I have feel very nauseated for about 2 months almost daily. I didn't know if if was just more food problems or what. I remember the dr I saw told me to just go to the ER if it got bad. I will go to the ER, and I have a feeling since I just woke up that as soon as I eat the pain will return.

Chaotic, thank you.. yes a bit worried it could be infected, seems to be a lot more bothersome last few months, and them bam.. something is not right.

Thank you guys for telling me that you got it out and it went ok. I hate hospitals, surgery, or anything like that. I have had some bad experiences including getting ceptic shock from a procedure gone wrong. Or trauma from drugs like Versed gone wrong.

I'll be brave and go, DH yes I remember all that happened with you, that is so scary. I don't know if it's gallstones or what is going on. When I saw a dr it was a walk in clinic and he was very certain it was the gallbladder and that it needed to come out. My diet tho doesn't have that much fat, and being a person with an ed my diet never really did have a lot of fat. So I am thinking it might be something else wrong with it, or that maybe it can happen despite that.

I'll let you guys know, I am sure it will be ok. I don't want to go through this again tho, Oh my gosh painful. I got some high pain tolerance too DH and it usually gets me in trouble..

Only a couple days before I went to the ER my doctor told me that if I had vomiting or fever and the pain lasted for more than 30 minutes, to go the ER ASAP.

I feel totally normal now after having my gallbladder out except now I get intense cravings for salt which I didn't before. I have no idea why. Other than that I feel normal. And, no more pain!

I know it's scary, Anika. I was terrified the whole time. I was terrified to have surgery, even after 2 c-sections. But, it all went well and it will go well with you and you'll be okay!

Anika, you say you have/had an ED, with that did you ever lose a lot of weight? If so you could have stones.

My doctor said a lot of pregnant women have gallbladder problems after having a baby because they gain so much weight and then turn around and lose it. He said it only takes a 30 pound loss to do a number on your gallbladder.

I hope you feel better!

Anikah, gallbladder can't be treated with meds and is so painful and sickening. It's so easy to come out now that they use a laparascope. It's quick and simple. It's day surgery. Recovery is a breeze. My hubby just went through it, and I've had it done. Believe me; you'll be glad you made the decision. Please, for your sake, do it!! Don't suffer this way. Let me know what you choose. I'll support you all the way. Go for it!!
