I have not yet been diagnosed, or have even seen a doctor yet, but I know that I have Depression, and I'm pretty sure that I have Bipolar Disorder. I just told my mom about this a few months ago, so I'm keeping a 'mood journal' and will eventually see a doctor about it.

I wish I had more than a hug, but I can't pull myself out of depression either.

Hugs and kind words sometimes make it more bearable for me.

Hugs and love to you.

I was so depressed a lot when I was younger, with no reason to be, other than something like leaves are falling off a tree or there goes an old couple walking by or there are people starving on streets (that stuff still triggers me actually). Now I have a lot of major personal reasons to be depressed. Both ways suck, I'm sorry you're going through it.

Are you getting out of the house enough? Getting any exercize?

Not really. I've been sick , but I just got some great news , but my friend is not being supportive and is not being a very good friend.. and ugh. I guess I'm a mess, but I'm trying sooo hard to just be happy and to be excited and I'm just not. I feel so low and bummed out and I can't seem to get myself out of this mood. :/

That's the thing with depression, it sucks the life out of everything.

The main thing to remember is depression doesn't happen for logical reasons. For example take a celebrity who is depressed. People will say "why are they depressed? They have everything in the world they could want." But that's not how depression works. It just exists, good or bad. It just comes over you like a wave.

It really is hard to deal with being depressed for no "real" reason. The thing that sometimes helps me is a quote from one of my favorite blogs..."Depression is a Lying Bastard" Just remember it will pass and as hard as it may be, seek out the things you enjoy and try to use them.
Thanks for this!
