I really do wish I was a morning person, but I'm just not.
I need to be a morning person, kid needs school, it's a law. I want to be like people who wake up in the morning with energy and ready to go. I want to be reliable, and a positive source for my son getting him ready for school, like yay it's a new day! But I lay there listening to alarm for 40 minutes before we finally get up and then have to rush. No amount of coffee seems to be enough. I even take adhd meds and still could fall back asleep. Those of you who are early birds, I envy you, but in a good way! I'm happy for you and see I want to learn how too. |

Me too BlueInanna... More than anything. I wish I could hop up and start my day! My son was up at 7 wanting to play and I put on Finding Nemo and went back to sleep till 830... He's 2 but I still make him sleep in a crib bc I can't function in the morning and can't have him wandering around obviously be himself makes me feel like a terrible mother.
If you learn, share it with me, bc I would love to learn too!

I'm not a morning person either. This is a common characteristic of people with bipolar, but society makes no allowances, preferring to call us lazy and unmotivated.

It's 10:30am and I'm still not "on" ... I have a lot to do! But my mornings are like slow motion.
This is more me: I Love the Nightlife Please don't talk about love tonight. Please don't talk about sweet love. Please don't talk about being true and all the trouble we've been through. Ah, please don't talk about all of the plans we had for fixin' this broken romance. I want to go where the people dance. I want some action ... I want to live! Action ... I got so much to give. I want to give it. I want to get some too. Oh, I ... Ohhh I ... I love the nightlife, I got to boogie on the disco 'round, oh yea. Lol, now I gotta force myself in the shower. I got it! I won't really be "on" until around 8 or 9 tonight. I hit the snooze and get up too late, too. Me and my son always rushing to school, too. I love the days he is off and I can just get ready for work. I"m not good getting it all together in the morning. I need a routine and the routine needs to be not what it is, but how? I don't know. Then I'm at work rolling through zombie town every day.
I wasn't meant for this box.... it's too small, but I have to sit in it to make money. ![]()

I think my daddy made me a morning person(?).... Been getting up before sunrise since I was 6, mostly because I wasn't allowed to attend school anywhere near our neighbourhood, and secondly because daddy would wake us at 7am on weekends proclaiming how 'sinful' it was to be asleep while the sun is out
![]() Hearing your guys' struggle with morning makes me feel thankful I don't find it difficult to be up at 4:30am for work, because if I were in your shoes, I'd honestly never have a job because only retail is closebye... Thank you for the fresh perspective, and while I can only relate via my depression cycle, I do wish it weren't so for all of you ![]() Wish I could share my 'Morning Personess' with you, there is plenty to go around ![]() |

Yeah its hard to keep going, when your not a morning person. Im glad for you trippin that your a morning person thats great that at least one of us is.

The worst thing about being a night person is that first initial having to tear yourself out of that nice soft bed.... and then right when you're feeling charged and awake and ready to be creative... oops! Time to go to sleep because you have to go through the agony of waking up again early. >.<

Ooooh, you're one of those people like my cousin who doesn't need as much sleep for some reason. My cousin who is a PhD and extremely smart and can spead read and all of that, he only needs 3-4 hours a night for some reason.

Morning and night person too, need about 4 hours sleep and I am good. But that leaves a lot of time to try and fill up. My bf is not a morning person at all, he can barely even speak for the first hour he is awake and he kinda looks like he is gonna die when he has to wake up early. So I do feel for you if you have to feel like that every morning. The world is not set up for that, nor for night people.
I have no idea how I got like this but been this way forever. Sleep ... Is kind of a weird thing.

It is hard. And sometimes just depressing to even have to wake up. Like actually physically painful to wake up - not like what you guys go through with fibro or serious back conditions, etc., but painful still. I would love to just pop up full of energy awake at the right time.
Talking to my Naturopath Doc friend today, he thinks he can help me. He suggested not eating 3 hours before sleeping since I take the klon or ambien sometimes at night (he takes xanax lol - that surprised me a bit). He says it delays the absorption of the food and can make you groggy in the morning no matter how well or how long you sleep. He also wants me to consider food allergies to dairy or wheat... Might make sense, cuz I have weird eating habits, like sometimes don't eat all day and not hungry until bedtime. And I just love comfort food snacks in bed at night, or a beer (that's wheat usually). Gotta just quit that for the sake of my health and sanity - if it could improve my wake up problem, it could improve many other areas of my life. I'll give it a go tonight and see. |

Getting anywhere before 10 am just doesn't work for me. It's the same with the rest of my family. Your an awesome mom blue and the kids can use a break every now and then.
