I watched this video of a baby laughing hysterically. It was...well, hysterical. I started laughing (normal laugh, not the "laugh til you cry" laugh) and almost immediately after starting, began to cry. Obviously, the baby video was not sad. I've done this many times before however, it didn't use to happen until a few years ago. I just now thought maybe it has something to do with the bp and cycling or something.

It's embarrassing and hard to explain to someone when you're laughing and then seconds later, tears are streaming down your face and you're not even laughing hard. I've tried to cover it up by making it look like I'm laughing harder than I am but seriously, I doubt anyone believed it.

Is this something bp or something else or is it just a weird trait I seem to have picked up along the way? Does anyone else do this? When do you seem to have it happen if you do? I mentioned in another post that yesterday I went from nasty, to calm and then this morning agitated. So maybe it's related to rapid cycling?

Just wondering if this is something I need to bring up with my pdoc next visit.

Just about every time I laugh even marginally hard I end up crying. You're right, it's dead embarrassing. I know exactly how you feel.

I laugh and end up crying. Or when I feel like crying I find myself laughing. It's all embarrassing and I wish I could just have emotions like a "normal" person.

I have done this a million times. You have to remember that the rapid cycling is completely draining and also it could be hormones. I have struggled with hormone issues for years as well and it only makes it harder. I'm really seeing it in my twelve yr old son who started to hit puberty at 9. He was diagnosed as well and it is still difficult for him. hang in there and try the lemon juice in water trick....let me know how you are feeling.
