I have 7 weeks to go and things are going mostly well. I've had some really bad back pain and had to go in and get checked out but everything turned out ok though we still don't know what is causing the pain.

Bub is well, but my latest scan show increased amniotic fluid and a "large for gestational age" baby! It doesn't seem to be a problem but it means I'm huge!!!

Mood has been great through the pregnancy. My pdoc doesn't anticipate any problems post delivery cause I will remain on antidepressants which makes my risk of postnatal depression low.

I have most things ready but I'm still waiting on our landlord to fix the leak in the baby's room!!! They are usually pretty good so I think it will get done.

I'm very excited and a bit nervous as my due date approaches.

It's so exciting! I'm glad everything is going well for you. For you seven weeks is going to feel like an eternity. That last stretch of waiting for the baby is always the longest.

Glad you're well! Sorry you have back pain though, big babies will do that. I used to do a thing my midwife said, get on all 4's / hands and knees, and slowly rock hips side to side. That can help baby position better and off your back. Also for back pain, try to sit with belly very forward and back arched. Especially in cars and comfy couches we tend to lean back too much, which does not help baby get in prime position. Got to help those babies out, they don't have a lot of room to move around in there.

My youngest was a huge boy, 10 lbs and 2 weeks early. That was a fun 33 hour labor with no meds, I really should've just had c-section on that one lol. So in about 4 weeks it should be safe for baby to come anytime. I miss that exciting waiting time, and the birth experience is so amazing!
Thanks for this!

If you have access to a municipal swimming pool or a YMCA with a pool (if Australia has YMCA) or a gym with a pool, any of those would help with the back pain.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for all your replies.
Blue inanna - someone else said that ( the hands and knees thing) the other day, will have to try it next time. Sitting is a problem. That's when it's worst cos I have to sit a bit funny to still have enough room to breathe.

My midwife also told me that female elephants will surround the laboring one when it time, and they will help nudge rock her hips side to side!

When sitting, try to spread legs and let belly go forward, should give your lungs a bit more space as well.
