Hello again! I'm looking for a mood tracking app so I can finally get around to doing that thing. Right now I'm rather pissed off because all of the popular ones seem to be missing something vital or have other stupid issues with them. Do you use a good one, or do you know of one that might be good for me?

I need one that I can use multiple times a day, since I have rapid cycling. It should also have sufficient categories (the basic stuff) or the option of adding my own categories, not require me to share my mood to the internet or that I be connected to it, and preferably let me add notes or input hours of sleep and food eaten so I don't have to do that on paper. I would really appreciate some feedback because I'm very annoyed at the silly people making all of these flawed apps. So much incompetency! Thank you!
Thanks for this!

I have an Android phone and the Google Play store offers one called "eMoods Bipolar Mood Tracker" that seems good. I haven't been using it for very long though.

Edit: I totally didn't read your entire OP. (Hello, hypomania, nice to meet you today.) I'm not sure if the eMoods tracker would accommodate rapid cycling. It seems like a once daily update type of thing.

Actually the mood tracker here is one of the better ones I've used because I often can't identify my moods properly and filling out a quick questionnaire/quiz type thing is helpful in that regard.

Or do you mean in terms of smartphone/tablet apps in which case I got nothin

I like optimism online because you can customize the whole thing. You can put in your own triggers and whatever you want. You can change what all the slide bars are etc. But, for an app it's only for iPhone and I have a droid, so I have to use the one online, but maybe someday they will develop a droid version, too.

Wow, thanks for all the replies! I checked out Optimism, didn't work for me because of the rapid cycling, but I almost picked it anyway. It looks great! Anyway, I ended up making my own mood tracker with a form on Google Drive. I made the form yesterday and today I'm going to make the spreadsheet and graphs.

So what variables do you track? I'm thinking mood/energy/anxiety in one chart, then mania/depression in another one and then some with sleep, eating and physical illness.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
