Oh good. I lost my purse 2 years ago. Never got it back. It had me and middle son's social security card in it. I'd needed it for something that day.... I laugh and say "good luck" if they have my card. But him.... But, so far nothing has happened from it.

Kind of a crazy story but my bf and I went on vacation to Belize last year... On our return home, my bf realized he lost his wallet somewhere between Houston International Airport and the long term parking of Los Angeles International Airport. I asked him "Where do you remember last having it" and he said "when I paid for snacks before getting on the plane in Houston" I asked him "what did you do after that?" and he said "I went to the bathroom... oh no" I said "what?" and he says "It might have fallen out went I dropped my pants in the bathroom to take a crap before we got on the plane"

Long story short, I immediately got on the phone, called the Airport, told them where he thought he lost it (in the bathroom) and they came back on the phone and said someone had turned it in!! They shipped it out to us the next day!

God bless the good people in the world! They're still out there haha

That's because my mom had the recipets for the gift cards. The purse and everything in it including plane ticket is still missing.

Did you advise her to report the loss of the phone to the company from whom she
bought it, Moose? That will prevent her being charged for any calls that are long distance and expensive that might be made by someone who has the purse.

Sorry that happened, but it reminds me to make a record of the cards I have and
to keep the numbers some place safe so that if they are ever lost or stolen I can
contact the company to prevent their being used by someone who might not be
honest.

It does happen, unfortunately. You can be sure it won't happen to her again, in my view. An incident like that makes us very aware of where our valuables are, doesn't it?

I understand the concern and probably anger, Moose.
My daughter had her wallet/purse stolen at school. Eighty dollars, her bank card, and her I-phone. We put a tracer on the phone, but it was never used. We cancelled the card right away, but it was not used either. Our thoughts are that the phone was stolen to sell and the money was just a bonus.
I am glad that your daughter had the money returned, at least.

Yes only because it was giftcards. Everntything else is gone. I don't even know if her plane ticket was in there.

Is there any way to validate the plane ticket as belonging to her? Was it bought with a credit card? Just some thoughts, I have never lost a ticket, never say never though!
