My breasts feel like l need to nurse. They ache like letdown. I get thirsty a lot. If I tell pdoc she will accuse me again of trying to get off Zyprexa. Help what do I do? This happened once before in risperdal and u actually had some milk production though not a lot. I was taken off the drug.

Well I know there's a med they give mom's who stop nursing but not lactating, but I doubt it will be effective as your prolactin problems are med induced...

I really don't know Can you maybe ask a gp? That way you know more before consulting your seemingly judgemental pdoc...

I don't have any milk. It could be cycle induced not Zyprexa? Hmmm

what will she say? "would you rather be lactating and happy or have normal boobs and be unhappy?"

this is a serious concern.

Last time I talked with her she accused me of fishing for her to reduce my Zyprexa dose so I expect that she'd do it again.

Well, you're not going to believe this, but it's true.

Dr. David Williams accuses increase in breast size to gluten exorphins. If you're using wheat, cut it out for a couple of weeks (we really don't have to have it in our diets) and see if you notice any change. It's especially happening in men, but the exorphins affect estrogen, so that's the problem. (For men, it's less severe than for some women because women have more estrogen naturally.)

And if you decide to remove wheat as a test, drink plenty of water in the interrim to help wash the exorphins from your system.

I keep asking everyone (men and women) to read that book (Wheat Belly)because it's a huge help for suggestions about the damage of exorphins in wheat, barley, and rye.

Milk also contains exorphins; if you're drinking a
lot of milk, try testing yourself by removing that for a week, too, and see if it helps.

she is tired? She is not the one putting them in her body. Be assertive and don't let her have "I am tired" crap.

It's her job to provide assistance. And nobody promised her it's gonna be easy money.

I know but I don't like her attitude. It's like I'm bugging her.

She is YOUR service provider Moose... You are not her subordinate.
Hence there is no "bugging" going on!

Is there a problem if this continues? With the engorged achiness? It's just a guess that it prolactin.

Is there an antipsychotic medication that doesn't increase prolactin levels? - Bipolar Disorder Questions - Ask a Pharmacist on Everyday Health - EverydayHealth.com

I've tried abilify and had tardis dyskinesia.

Sorry you've had this and hope you find just the thing to help you feel better.

There is a simple blood test I don't care if your Pdoc gives a damn or not. She is there to treat YOU, and personally I think she is doing a lousy job. Probably a good think that she is leaving. You get to met a new Pdoc and start right out on finding the best way to find a treatment that is going to work for you.

Then call your GP and tell them you have no Pdoc but need a prolactin blood test... meanwhile ....

Since your new Pdoc will be an intern ... that person will need an actual Pdoc to work under. You call the office and ask to speak to the head of the department.

Technically I think my pdoc is still my pdoc. It's just down to the wire with when her last few days are.
