My deceased father just received a pre-eviction notice for breaching his agreement of sale.

For some reason nobody except home affairs who issued his death certificate knows his dead. (even though I personally contacted everybody, family friends, business associates and all officials
as well as creditors)

So now I have even more grown-up mess to sort out before we're all homeless or my mom kicks the bucket and nothing is in her name and no last will or anything to protect Gary, Jordan and myself.

Oh the joys of adulthood.

So atleast I'm on leave and can hopefully sort out this mess during the coming week. So much for rest and relaxation and pretending I have zero responsibilities

Just venting and making excuses for my silence here...

Thanks
Ok , I've cried out my frustration tears and now deciding if I should go soak in a bubble bath or go to my friend's place and have a drink. Either way I'm supposed to unwind...

Ok. I've decided on bubble bath, a drink will just make the earlier tears resurface, I really dont need any mood amplifiers at present!

wow - what a mess

i'm contemplating if it's drink-thirty yet or not...

so the company that cremated my dad, still sends him coupons 14 years later! wtf?! why not just send him a customer survey to see if he liked their service so much he'd like to do it again? Like, here have 50% off your next cremation, or how about a 2 for 1 deal!? just nuts, nuts, nuts...

hope you get the business of the will and all that stuff sorted out. yes, good thing you're on leave for this or it'd be even worse hell. luvya, good luck with it all.
Thanks for this!

Had a nice long bubble bath, watched a movie with Jordan, and now relaxing in bed at 10:30 on a Saturday night! I'm olllld lol

Yes it is a mess, and mom and I disagree on the way forward. She acts like Idk anything and wants to pay an amount on dad'ss account (which might just slow things down a bit) while I want to go straight to the registrars office, declare him dead and transfer everything onto her name so that his debt is no longer my problem!

Ugh, it is a mess. Need money for travelling as well as to make a payment (atleast, have no idea if the transfer costs money) and everybody except me is so chilled about this whole thing even though we've already MISSED the due date! Which could mean attorneys are already involved

Asked my eldest sister for advice, she basically told me its my problem, and I have to sort it out before we're all out on the street! Nice going sis.

My other sister who is usually least helpful said she'll contact her friend who works for the government, not sure if she'll do it though, she's not too big on folowing through...
Sigh* I need another smoke

Thanks for listening to yet ANOTHER of my wonderful weekend tales

OK I seem like I can make sense now...

Damn what a mess.. Of course I don't know what the laws are in your country. I am certain you will find the answers quickly. I know your week off was suppost to give you a break to relax, etc .. Maybe this week off happened just in time when you need it most . Life is funny.

I hope you quickly find answers and solutions.

I'm sorry Trippin. I don't know what bs you have to go through, but it seems that everywhere, government is hard to deal with. I was responsible for closing out everything for my mother when she died eight years ago. The paperwork was endless, and she didn't even have much, just a few small insurance policies and small amounts of stock. I am sure you will get it all worked out, but what a pain! Btw, I also had no help from my siblings. They only called to see when they would receive the minor amount that we got from her benefits.
I'm glad you "got away" with Jordan for movie time!
