Hmmm... She used to change and increase dosages often for why i didnt know. And I used to habitually dodge appointments but then have pharmacy call her for refills. She finally said this is the last refill, I need to see you and you need to be in treatment if you're needing these pills. Kind of not what you're asking specifically sorry spacing off.

My pdoc wants me to call in for an urgent care appointment if I have been hypo/manic or depressed for more than four days, earlier if I am having severe symptoms or suicidal.

I was experiencing depression and my MS and AP wasn't helping. I was put on another MS.

I don't remember changing meds when well, but in your case since you're seeing him after the episode (and since you had the episode in the first place) it really looks like you need a change. Since you're on an SSRI (I think?) have you guys talked about removing that? I hate the Seroquel side effects, I often just plain hate it, but I have to say it's been very effective for preventing mania (and eventually bringing me back to earth from a manic episode). That said, if there were an alternative that was just as effective without the horrible side effects, it would be so so much better -but now that I'm on it, I'm afraid to go off of it; I've had a lot of trouble when lowering the dose. Moral of the story as far as I'm concerned, maybe better to increase or add a MS first and see if that will do it -which seems to be what you want to do. I love Lamictal (funny, a lot of people here seem to), it's helped tremendously with depression, but just not with mania. Still, everyone's different and with the dose you're on you can still go up on it -maybe give that a try? Good luck at your appointment! He'll likely be understanding about not contacting him and cancelling, it happens. |

Blue- when is your appointment? I hope it goes well. Pm me.
I have an idea that im going to feel bad but that's okay. Ihave a list of behaviors and time limits that ig one happens I'm or my husband are to call this did not happen. My husband said he didn't want to betray me. ![]() I am on this ssri because it has anti psycotic qualities without weight gain side effect. I'd really fight to stay on it because I feel running out of it was what set me off. I haven't seen pdoc since mid February and I keep my mouth shut about being hypo then because who wants to be taken down when its good. So I really haven't had my MS dose changed in 1.5 years and my AD in about 9+ months. They pdoc and T have been trying to convince me that an AP would help for the past 2yrs. However with the co-morbid crap that comes with parranoia most psych meds are out. I love lamictal too. It's the first MS I've seen inprovement with and the only one I haven't tried is lithium because of co-morbid issues.
