finally got to see this movie yesterday- and i must say, even though it was good... it was not as good as i expected

i think 2 much focus was on the boy actually telling the story- and also i would have liked the movie to be set in the present.

i don't really like watching movies where even though it's good, everything's happened... the part when he was on the boat was awsome- but i hope you all know what i mean?

i just like things current... not him telling the story of it happening, but it actually happening

what did you all think of life of pie

I loved it. I also liked that it's not in the present. The movie was food for thought and food for my imagination, and that's what I want from movies.

I don't want to see it. It just doesn't seem interesting to me at all.

I avoided the book. It didn't seem like a work I would like. I rented the movie only because my daughter wanted to see it. I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. Some parts seemed disconnected, like the part where they were on the "killer" island, but I guess that was part of the book as well.

fair enough.

but still... you may surprise yourself if you watch it

i thought les mis would be 1 of those movies.. i looked at it and thought, oh i'd hate that.. i'm not interested in it at all- the storyline does not sound good at all!

but actually watched it anyway and really enjoyed some parts

same goes for the movie taking 5.

I read both the book & watched the movie. This was one of those rare instances I liked the movie better. It was a good movie, and humorous at times, even amid the morose parts. I think it's worth watching. One Thumbs up from notALICE.

I read the book and watched the movie. I loved them both, but I thought the book was better. I loved all the religion/philosophy discussed in the book.

I love the end in which you could decide which story to believe.

I read the book and loved it ! I think visually they did an amazing job with the film.

In fact I bought the Life of Pi the day it was released.
