She did that **** on purpose. Why would she? (my mom)

It took so much for me to even tell her I made a p doc appointment, and then she goes n says "here's the money for your doctors appointment" all loud in front of my whole family.

Hasn't she ever heard of discretion? So now everyone knows. F**k them. They don't need to know. She did that **** on purpose. She had to know that I didn't want to broadcast this >.> there's no way it was accidental.

The more I think about it the more mad I get. I could forgive it maybe if there was even a shred of a chance it was accidental, but that **** was so obviously not.

Might as well have just yelled:

"By the way everyone, i'm going to give [WrongEverything] $40, cuz she's unstable and needs to be medicated"

WrongEverything, maybe she just likes to have shouting match with you, just like my mom. in that case you need to win this match easily and quickly, don't speak with her much if you can, i have been depressed and needed support, but even if your mom is giving you support it doesn't mean she needs to know how much you need her..

My wife, when she's out of control(and I'm the one with severe mental illness)will say the most outrageous, hurtful statements. A couple of months ago, she said to me, in a sarcastic tone, "I don't know what's going happen to you, but I'll be fine. Anyway, you get so angry, you might kill me!" I'm not violent, never expressed violence tinged words to her...I just swallow her crap. I take into account that she's alcoholic and probably has Borderline Personality Disorder. Yes, we make a lovely couple.

She was wrong for saying it out load. On the other hand, if she just said you had a Dr's appt. That doesn't let others know what type of Dr's appt (GP, OBG, Psych etc...).

Some people can be passive aggressive, or just not have a clue. I wouldn't take it to heart..

We are all human and make stupid mistakes. I hope that your mom views her indiscretion as a mistake, but even if she doesn't...you are doing the right thing by not engaging her ill-mannered announcement. Is there ANY way that she is just not aware of what she did? Benefit of the doubt??
