Uggh. No temp pdoc yet because insurance won't hurry up. At this rate I may as well wait for my normal pdoc when college starts back up!

I wasn't. then my dad made me agree to take them with the promise we'd figure out how to get me off them safely today.

Stay on stay off meds , Only you can decide what is best for you. There is always going inpatient if you really become unstable and self harm etc. You will certainly see a Pdoc there and upon discharge you will have an appointment already set up with a Pdoc and T .Being inpatient will help you learn ways to cope and handle your emotions when you get way up or down. So that would be a huge plus also.

pdocs are in less numbers so that current pdocs can charge too much money from us. if they increased number of pdocs, healthcare could be cheaper, more docs will have time to do research, as result more meds will be invented and it will be beneficial to all of us... but then it was never about us, it is all about money...

OMG I hate insurance!!!!! Mine will cover some of my meds but no mental health care AT all. Now that's what I call crazy :P

Can you go to another clinic? Call your insurance carrier? Always the The ER if things get iffy.

I pay out of pocket to see a Pdoc because my general md basically but me in acute mania, not initially recognizing hypomania, and putting me on antidepressants.
