What do you do when your best friend in the whole world believes their boyfriends lies over their best friend and completely drops you out of their life?
..I thought it'd just blow over and she would realize that he lied or miss me or something... but it's been weeks.. maybe even months... I don't know what to do. My boyfriend says I should just forget about her, because if she believes him over me than she wasn't a real friend to begin with... I admit we've had our ups and downs, we've been through soo much. She's been my best friend since we were like 4 or 5 years old.. I miss her and I don't know what to do...

I agree with your boyfriend. I know it is very painful to lose a best friend and she will eventually find out that her boyfriend lies. She will either deny it or confront him. I am grieving the loss of a friend as well so I empathize with you but I am detaching from the relationship because it was unhealthy. Try to let go of her and enjoy your boyfriend and make new friends. I hope you feel better soon.

Unfortunately, length doesn't mean anything in a realationship. I had a best friend since 3rd grade who ended up being the most toxic person in my life. It took me until I was 22 to completely get her out of my life. All of my friends who backstabbed me when I was having psychosis had been my friends for 10 years.
It was extremely painful when I lost them all at the time, but in the end it has been much better to be without them. True friendship is measured by loyalty and reciprocated care, not by games of "he said/she said." If she was really your friend she would hear your side. And she would attempt to make some amends or meet on common ground.

I had the same sort of thing happen... a friend cut me out because of lies her bf said to her. The funny part is that he'd never met me.
I was crushed, but I cut my losses. A year later she messaged me again and apologized. We're still friends. But I don't always feel assured of her friendship anymore. |

Women do this a lot. The only thing you can do is love her anyway and move on. Hopefully in time she'll work it through and you will make Amends. I think understanding women have huge insecurities that will make them do crazy things for men is what will help you here. It's not just your friend.

I also recently lost my best friend and it tore me up. It's taken me a long time to realize that she was actually toxic and to allow myself to focus on things other than our friendship. To also rebuild friendships with all my other friends and try lead a more balanced life

I agree with your bf too. It's also possible that she was a good friend for you at some point, but isn't anymore. People change you know; and so do the relationships between them. And there are things only time can mend. Perhaps if you waited a while, she would realize her mistake.
