Hi, I'm new, my name is Becki and I'm 29. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 when I was 23. I've been hospitalized 9 times, I think. It's hard to keep track of. I was recently hospitalized twice back in March. I have since stopped taking my meds, because I can't afford them. I don't see my new doc until the 20th. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm hearing voices again. But I have to stay strong for my kids. I just don't feel like I can do it anymore. I'm rapid cycling, and I don't know how to hold out until I see my doc. And I don't want to go to the hospital. I get so depressed I can't get off the couch or out of bed. And I'm so irritable that I snap at my fiance all the time. I just need some support to get through this really hard time. I'm hoping to be able to find this here.
Hugs from:

Hello Becki and welcome to PC. You have found a site that has a lot of resources. I just went through an 8 month period of depression in which I ended up in the hospital. There they the taught me to count my blessings, no matter how small. Your fiancé sounds like he's supportive as he can be at this point. Many people here have faced similar situations. I hope this time you can find the resources to be able to afford your medication this time around. Some Drug companies offer Patient Assistance Programs. Good luck and keep posting..

Hi and welcome Becki.
I hope you find this place as supportive and helpful as I have. I have also been hospitalized a few times, mainly due to depression.
Feel free to ask any questions. I sure hope you start to feel better soon and can hang in there til you see your doc
