From my T, and, very useful and straightforward to apply:

1) Bipolar / manic depressive illness: My cat does not appreciate me.
2) Psychosis without hallucinations: I talk with my cat.
3) Psychosis with hallucinations: I talk with a nonexistent cat.
4) Neurosis: my cat ignores me and that is simply unbearable.
5) Paranoia: I am afraid of unintentionally divulging something sensitive as I talk with my cat.
6) Schizophrenia: my cat speaks inside my head.
7) Persecution Mania: my cat is plotting against me.

This was very helpful to me as I only have (2), and, I think, having just one thing is pretty reasonable and tempered.
Thanks for this!

My cat engages in conversations with me... Where does that go?

I think this makes you a normie. The cat starts conversing - you are only responding to the cues coming from the cat. With mine, I start, so I am psychotic, but you are not.

On the contrary, I usually do start talking first, because my cat is quite snooty, but your OP didn't specify that the cat responds and is engaged in conversation, so I was unsure...

Yesterday he told me about his GF Ginger (after I enquired if she's the reason he doesn't kiss me anymore) and he also told us about the first fight he won, and proceeded to demonstrate his Ninja Cat moves!

My cat was depressed yesterday. Tortured, actually.

There was a tiny little bug on the ceiling that neither of us could reach. It pushed him past the point of sanity and he would NOT stop crying!

Seriously. The most pathetic meows eeeeeever. I tried apologizing, but he was hearing none of that!

He also gives me grief when I come home late. My poor cat has issues! But at least he lets me know what he's thinking... allllllll the timmmmme.

and my cats are bipolar. They either sleep all day, meow when they lose me out of their sight and overeat....

or are horny, hyper, steal my pens and lipglosses (even try to steal carkeys at times).

wait... that's them being cats.

Mine too, although they have all been fixed.

A few months ago, they managed to mangle and almost shred to pieces four foil-covered condoms (I have since then started storing condoms in a drawer).

It that is not horny, what is?..

Oh, I would love to fly too, but nobody has ever offered to lecture me on the "how" of flying.

Step 1: hollow your bones
Step 2: stretch arms out until they are thin wings
Step 3: (optional) grow feathers
Step 4: Flap
Step 5: control arm motion to steer
Step 6: take advantage/care of wind currents

My dog seems bipolar to me sometimes. When I point out the similarities, my friends say that's anthropomorphic, but I don't think so. I think it's anthropocentric to consider that an anthropomorphism. Why not view human behavior in terms of animal behavior instead of vice versa? They should be calling it zoomorphism and be fine with it.

Where does worrying about what you dog thinks about you fall in?

I think it can slowly morph into neurosis if left unattended

1) Bipolar / manic depressive illness: My cat does not appreciate me.
2) Psychosis without hallucinations: I talk with my cat.
3) Psychosis with hallucinations: I talk with a nonexistent cat.
4) Neurosis: my cat ignores me and that is simply unbearable.

7) Persecution Mania: my cat is plotting against me.
