My new boss called tonight, I don't start the 1st of July anymore, I start tomorrow morning

Kinda nervous and anxious, so have plans to sleep early before it escalates and I end up not sleeping a wink.

I'm always a nervous wreck when starting a new job, which is natural, but not for the usual reasons, it's because I've never had the same job twice. Ever.

Had about 9 jobs, with a completely new function each time.... sigh, deep breath, exhale.

Serves me right for always wanting to master a new skills set.

I need to chill the fk out and go sleep...

It might be a blessing in disguise that you got that call out of the blue from your new boss. You won't have to worry about the lead-up to your new job now. I'm sure your boss will understand that it might take a while for you to learn the new skill sets you mention. Until we hear how things went, we're sending good karma your way. Get some restful sleep!

What is up with the universe right now????? I have to sign my new contract today and start having a "boss" for the first time in 15 years, same job basically, but yikes, I'm tense, worried, not used to having to answer to anyone! And he's cool but will be in my business - and meticulously making sure we're profitable - I need to look at this as a new start, a new opportunity, and for the best.

So maybe I could get a little mini Lia to kindly ride along with me & crack the whip on me to get me motivated and thinking positively about this change? And to help me dress fabulously! LOL

Today was better, I did productive things and thank you yes, sans headache. But then I was stuck in the ladies room for an hour, first waiting to be discovered, and then more waiting while 2 guys freed me by sawing open the door with kitchen knives
