I'm not sure where you are in the world, but I saw an episode of Shark Tank (a show in the US about start up businesses) and there was this company called "Pretty Padded Room" that does most of their therapy sessions online. I have no idea on their price point, but it's worth a Google.

I would be very wary of such an evaluation, frankly. To begin with, psychiatrists aren't
inexpensive and, secondly, nothing beats a one-on-one personal conversation with
a really good psychiatrist. And I'm sure others could find many more reasons.

I believe there was a portion of the Pretty Padded Room therapy that is done through Skype. But I'm sure it's a bit more pricey.

If I remember right, I don't think the company got an investment from the "Sharks". I think they said that no one would want to use online therapy and everyone would prefer to go see a real live therapist or psychologist. I don't know, the concept was intriguing. I'm not sure if it's for me personally, but I'm sure it would help someone who's more house-bound.

Personally, I would not want to use an online therapist. Perhaps there are good ones out there, but I need the comfort of a room with a door closed. I also judge my t on what she wears, how the room is decorated, and her mannerisms. These things may not matter to some, but my comfort level is very important.

I'm not sure if this is allowed (so feel free to delete my post mods) but I wanted to reply because I have a suggestion to exactly what you're looking for. I'm actually an affiliate for Live Person and they offer professional counselors you can speak with online, over the phone, or by email. Prices vary from about $1-$3/min. I've never used them myself but it seems like a great service. You can use my aff link and clicking here will take you to their site and get you 25% your first chat (assuming you're a new client) so it may be something to check out?? Let me know if anyone does use them... I'd be curious to know if they're worth it.
