I am so depressed right now and can't take my dramatic mood swings anymore. When I talk to my husband about how I feel he wants to take me to the hospital. I've never gotten any help there and besides I can't run off to the hospital every time I'm feeling super depressed. I'm just having trouble with basically everything lately. It's still a few weeks before I can get. In to see my new therapist and longer til I can see the Dr. I'm not sure what to do until then.

It sounds like you are in a really tricky place and that the hospital is your only real solution. It's the quickest way for you to see a doctor and get onto meds, or if you are on existing ones, to get those adjusted.
I understand your concern that the hospital may not have helped in the past, but you don't seem to have much of an option. Depression is so draining and painful and you can only take so much of it

I would look into intensive out-patient. They usually have Dr's you see (bi)weekly and daily individual and group therapy. It's usually a two month program. That may be more helpful then the hospital while you wait for your new therapist and dr. Can you call your dr. and see there policy for emergency appointments?

I will try and do that thank you. Partly my problem is I've been really sick for weeks and having trouble paying medical bills. But not a whole lot I can do about that til I get a job.

Just dropping in to give you hugs and support for whatever you choose. I think the others covered your options, so take care of you. Depression is exhausting, I hope you turn the corner soon. A few weeks seems too long to wait to see a dr. when you are in the crux of crushing depression. ((hugs))
