other than one day where my ed got very triggered, I've felt like doing all the things for the past two weeks. so many plans, so little time in the day! I've just taken on a big sewing project (costume consisting of sheath dress, altered oxford shirt, ruffled trenchcoat, and underbust corset) for my boyfriend's little sister and I can't wait to get to the store to start on it! I wrote a song, so many ideas for art but even if I could settle down and do it, all my stuff's packed to go to college tomorrow.
I could care less because I feel so great, but my temp T thinks I'm hypo. And if I am I don't want it devolved into really bad hypo like last time. Thoughts?

It's hard to tell. It just might be you in a not depressed, not manic phase.
If you are on your meds, I would think they would help you catch it before it gets bad. I know mine would. Hope this helps. |

I would just enjoy the ride for now. Don't worry about being hypo or not. If you're not doing anything dangerous like last time then who cares if it's hypo or not? I hate when therapists label a good mood as hypo.
If you start doing dangerous things or having the same feelings as last time then maybe call your pdoc or T. Just note your behaviors and keep a watchful eye, but enjoy it while it lasts!

That's what I hate most about being bipolar. You can't trust yourself to just be happy.

I forgot to mention that I can tell the difference between hypo and a good mood by my energy. If I'm hypo I'm bursting with energy and can't sleep. If I'm just happy I have normal sleep patterns.

I have a very hard time telling when I am manic or just excited/happy ... I have delusions and hallucinations that are so real to me at the time, so there is no way to tell until it is too late.

I judge a lot of things based on my sleep pattern vs energy level too. (With the exception of things like holidays because then I'll pretty much send myself into a temporary hypo that usually results in me crashing into tiredness as soon as I'm home so it's totally normal
