I have been on lexapro 9 years (except in 1st trimester of 2 pregnancies) I decided to stop taking it and my doc agreed (since I wasn't feeling down just anxiety and some add symptoms). I was on 20mg and went down to 10mg for 1 week then off completely. After 4 days it was hell!! I was sick nauseas and felt like I could sleep non stop - and I did sleep about 12-14 hours a day. Didn't go out of house wear makeup etc.

It got a little Better but the nausea is still there. I did start topamax after the lexapro (now on 50mg) so I'm not sure if I'm feeling side effects from that or still lexapro withdraw - its been just shy of 3 weeks since my last pill.

I have been feeling very emotional - agitated - overwhelmed - depressed u name it. I thought I was struggling before but I'm much worse off now!!

I see my doc on Thursday. Any thoughts on what's going on?

BP 2 and I'm on lamictal 250

Hi, Lexapro withdrawal for me was a hell on earth, as I had all the symptoms you are mentioning. I took a while for them to subside. I am now on zoloft abilify and topomax, but before those, I was on many others, I recently weaned off lithium to be on topomax, and topomax is working great for me, I am now up to 200 mg a day, thats my max, I see my pdoc this week also, please check with your pdoc on thursday maybe you can call before you go if your symptoms get worse.
