I always feel better if I write about how I'm feeling. It gives the feelings somewhere to "be". Then I don't have to think about them so much.

By the way, I love your sig. quote!

Maybe you should give it a try.

That is one cool quote by tesla. I write quite often in my bipolar blog and some of my deepest things are while manic.

Have you got a good solid routine? That will help. Make sure you are eating, sleeping and exercising right to give your body the best chance to get through this or fight it off before it gets too bad. Are your thoughts negative? Try some CBT techniques to stop them in their tracks. Put the effort in now before it gets too hard to deal with. I wish I had a simple solution to motivation but I am struggling with that too... trying with little goals.

No neg thoughts, just emptiness. That is why it is difficult to write. I am totally lacking emotions.

I have only felt emptyness when my PMDD symptoms are flaring up, not during depressive episodes so perhaps it is different. Its not pleasant but since it is not a constant thing for me I just wait for it to pass. I do try to get on the bike so I can feel my heart beating and know its not really empty in there. Is there a trigger for this mood shift? Is the stress in your life getting too much? Can you ask your support network for some help? The more you do now the less severe the episode is likely to be.
