Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry you're struggling!

Bipolar Disorder used to be called Manic Depression (and I think it's still called 'manic depression' in some other languages/countries), so they are the same thing.

Do you have a psychiatrist who can help you with this?

Welcome to PC .. Yes Manic depression and Bipolar are the same thing. I understand your trouble seeing a doctor or a Therapist but they understand how it can be so hard and will try to help you stay calm. They can help you if you let them.

There is Hope

Welcome, I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. Drs can help, most know how to talk so we are comfortable, I understand anxiety and panic with strangers. I see a therapist and a psychiatrist and dont know where I'd be without them. ((()))
