I know it's hard, I get behind on laundry something fierce when I'm in a depression. Just know you can do it. If you can get your husband to help great, if not that's okay too but don't stress yourself out too much. I notice that I throw a lot away when I finally clean after letting things get bad. If I don't use it I let it go,it frees up a lot of space and helps making the rest of the place clean easier.
If you have a lot of clutter get a few different boxes and sort items by what rooms you're moving things to or what you can neatly tuck away in storage. The hardest part is getting everything rounded up and organized, once you have that out of the way the dusting/wiping/sweeping is a breeze. I know it's tough, but you can do it. I've noticed that pleasant sounds and smells help me get in the cleaning mood. Like, I'll buy a candle in my favorite scent, light it, and once the room smells good I kind of want it to look as cozy as it smells. Listen to your favorite music, it will help get the ball rolling. Another thing that helps me is getting a small decoration that I can put up after I'm finished, like a small wall decoration or even some candles for the counter. Move some decorations around to make it feel like you're changing the room completely. It really helps me feel 'refreshed' and like the cleaning is worth it, like you've revamped your home. A change of scenery can really help.with depression. Wishing you the best. Hugs!

And once the house is clean, you'll feel better. Not totally super awesome, but better. I love going to sleep in a clean house with clean sheets.

my advise to you is one room at a time. mind you this is coming from a lady that just got out of the hospital about a month ago (I have probably been manic since lol) and cleaned and painted and reorganized each room at a time. once you finished one room you see the progress you made and it makes you feel good.

I can relate. I find having a list helps me, I like being able to cross off each chore when it is done. I break each chore down into stages, for example I'll sort out the washing. Next time I get up for a glass of water I will pack the machine and turn it on. Next step is hanging it out, then lastly bringing it in and folding it. This might take me all morning but its one thing off the list! I also do as much as possible while I am on my feet, everytime I get up to go to the loo or get a drink I will do a little bit. It can be overwheming but little by little you'll get it done

Trying to think of cleaning everything at once is overwhelming!

Depending on why I'm de-motivated, I do one of two things. I either make a list of everything I need to do, prioritize, and get through one thing at a time. If thinking about everything is too overwhelming, I practice some self-care and pretty much tell myself to forget it because it doesn't matter if I die. That takes the worry out, then I can do one thing at a time. It doesn't matter what I do, I just do one thing. Then I do another and another until it's not so overwhelming and before you know it, I'm done. It's also ok to ask for help. Usually getting started is the problem.
